
Jodie Dusseault began her dancing career at the young age of 5 when she began studying ballet, in Grimsby, ON. By 15 years old Jodie was studying at H.B.S under the direction of Vitek Winzca. She was accepted into the Hamilton Ballet Youth Ensemble for several years, and performed on stage with Karen Kain, Frank Augustin, and Robert Desrosiers.
In 1990, Jodie starting teaching at D.D.A.C, where she immediately realized that her passion and love of dance was in the studio, teaching children. Jodie is a graduate from Ryerson Universities Dance Program. Her skilled abilities, and dynamic personality have established her as a highly respected teacher and choreographer throughout the province. Her choreography has been viewed by thousands, and has always received raving reviews! Jodie has had the pleasure of teaching Ballet, Jazz, Hip hop, Acro, and Musical Theatre at both recreational and competitive levels throughout Ontario.
She founded Front and Centre Dance Academy in 2003, and is presently the Artistic Director and Principal teacher. Jodie installs a sense of confidence and love of dance in every child she teaches.
Jodie is also a supporter of giving back to the community. FCDA holds annual food and toy drives, and she donates yearly through recital ticket sales to several charities. Her crew teams also enjoy performing at many different retirement homes, and charity events though-out the GTA.
Most recently Jodie has been taking several workshops and classes under the instruction of Master Teacher Paula Morgan. Paula’s teaching methods train dancers to achieve the best strength, flexibility, technique, movement and knowledge of the body.
