This is a ballet class for 3-4 year olds. Songs, costumes, and props will be incorporated into some classes to evoke creativity. This is a fun dance which helps build confidence and social skills. Dancers will perform in their own in house recital in May.

This class is a natural progression from the Tickle Trunk class. The fundamentals of jazz and ballet are introduced in a fun creative way. The dancers work on increasing flexibility, as well as improving coordination and rhythm.
This class is a fun, upbeat class that focuses on learning an introduction to Tap and Jazz movement. Students will tap, groove, and move their feet to the popular music of today.
This is a creative dance class for boys ages 3-5years. Focuses on rhythm, co-ordination, and fun, hip moves. Dancers will perform in their own in house recital in May.
This form of dance improves posture, poise, grace, and technique. Ballet is the backbone for all other dance forms. The technique developed in ballet is the fundamental training that applies to all other dance forms. Dancers at FCDA are taught under the method of Society of Russian Ballet.
This form of dance is characterized by its energy and variety. Dancers practice many turns and jumps from the corner, and later perform combinations and routines to upbeat music. Jazz dancers can be found dancing in musicals, on stage, at concerts, on cruise ships, at theme parks, and in many music videos. Jazz dance is energetic, vibrant, and continues to be an integral part of the entertainment industry.
Acro is the combination of gymnastics and jazz movement. This program is designed for dancers who want to increase their flexibility, control, and strength. Dancers will be shown how to execute tricks properly and safely.
This is a form of dance that focuses on co-ordination, timing, and syncopated rhythm. Tap is an expression of movement through sound. This is a fun class that will help keep you on your toes!
This form of dance focuses on style and coordination. The styles of the movements are bouncy, fast, and funky. Hip Hop stems from street dancing and is similar to what you might see in music videos. It is a high energy, fun class that moves to the trendy music of today.
LyricalThis form of dance is the fusion of ballet and jazz technique. It places emphasis on dance moves that relate directly to the song or music. These dance moves show expressive feeling and or emotion. Students should have some knowledge of ballet training.
The purpose of crew is to learn high caliber dancing from different guest choreographers throughout the year. The crew trains in several different forms of dance including cheer leading, jazz, hip hop, and musical theatre. The crew will be given the opportunity to perform at the Rogers Centre, retirement homes, and possibly selected functions and events in the community. The crew will also have the opportunity to perform all of their crew pieces in the recital in June. It has also been tradition that the Jr. Crew gets to perform a special father-daughter dance in the year-end recital. Students must be 7yrs or older to audition. Auditions are held every February (before the September of the dance year).
